Song Hye Kyo undergoes a drastic transformation with “The Glory Part 2”, breaks away from her stereotypical image on-screen

The Glory Part 2” is out after two months of drought. In just one day of release, the second part of the highly acclaimed drama series created a strong resonance and became a buzzing sensation on social media. Among the praise for the drama is the applause for Song Hye Kyo. The actress finally stepped out of her comfort zone and put on a “crazily” good performance after nearly 30 years of acting.

In this second part of the drama, Moon Dong Eun appears with more colors and a wider range of emotions. She does not continue straining herself nor carry a stone-cold, emotionless front. Instead, it is the burst of emotions, varying from hatred, fear, pain to love, that makes her more human.

Apart from the familiar antagonists of the series, Moon Dong Eun, in the second part, has to face her mother. In the face of this “special” enemy, Dong Eun tries to hold on to some lost family connection, but to no avail. Song Hye Kyo perfectly captured her character’s desperation when Dong Eun is, once again, sold out by her own birth mother. Once thought to be boxed in a single image and too lazy to break out of her own mold, Song Hye Kyo has shown to the world she can do so much better and eliminates the preconceived notions about herself and her acting.
