Zico Chills Amid HYBE-ADOR Fiasco: Forgets Poster with Jennie, Does Challenge with ILLIT
Despite the ongoing controversies surrounding HYBE, Zico still promotes his upcoming releases if nothing has happened.
On the afternoon of April 25, CEO Min Hee-jin of NewJeans’ agency ADOR held a press conference publicly stating her position against the accusations from HYBE.
Earlier, HYBE released a series of unfavorable evidence against Min Hee-jin, including plans to separate ADOR from HYBE, conversations regarding BTS’s military service obligations, seeking legal advice to manage ADOR, and conspiring to seize management rights.
Thus, HYBE declared that they would proceed with legal procedures against Min Hee-jin, asserting that they had sufficient legal evidence.
Meanwhile, during her press conference, Min Hee-jin continuously presented arguments expressing dissatisfaction with both HYBE and Bang Si Hyuk. Many seemingly unrelated names were dragged into this battle, such as BTS, ILLIT, GFriend, LE SSERAFIM… and even the “big boss” of SM Entertainment – Lee Soo-man.
It can be said that everyone is paying attention to the drama between Min Hee-jin and HYBE, and the employees of KOZ Entertainment – a subsidiary of HYBE, are probably no exception.
According to the previously published schedule, a teaser image for Zico and BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s collab single was supposed to be released at 4 p.m. (KST). However, the teaser image ended up being delayed, likely due to Min Hee-jin’s press conference. It is known that Zico and Jennie’s collab song will be released on April 26.

Therefore, the image of ILLIT dancing freely while numerous controversies surfaced was quite the sight.
On the other hand, Min Hee-jin mentioned her previous statement of ILLIT copying NewJeans, saying, “I didn’t belittle ILLIT. This is an issue created by the adults. There is a reason why I only pointed out the issue with ILLIT. They have copied our production formula too much.”
