NewJeans returns hiply “Release jacket photos for new double single”
NewJeans hinted at a hip and sporty sensibility
On April 26th, NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) unveiled the jacket photos for their new double single “How Sweet”.
In the photos, NewJeans, as always, exuded a natural charm without exaggeration while also revealing a unique aura.
Each member underwent various transformations. The five members showcased different stylings with short hair and intense colors as well as accessories like hats, headbands and sunglasses. NewJeans’ originality, which cannot be categorized under a single standardized concept, shines through in this album.
NewJeans’ double single “How Sweet” will be released in two versions: regular version and Weverse version. The packshot that allows you to see the actual album is also unveiled, attracting attention.
Especially notable is the LP-sized outer box for the regular version, which features portraits of the members. Previously, NewJeans received explosive responses for their first EP “New Jeans”, which was designed in the shape of a round bag, and their second EP “Get Up”, which was designed as a beach bag. Expectations are high for this double single reminiscent of an LP to evoke analog nostalgia. Additionally, various components such as interview book, photo book, mini poster, sticker pack, photo card, postcard and bookmark, all infused with NewJeans’ cute charm, further enhance fans’ desire to collect them.
The Weverse version, which collaborates once again with the popular American animation “The Powerpuff Girls”, is adorable and lively. The combination of NewJeans and “The Powerpuff Girls”, first introduced in “Get Up”, has already gained immense popularity among Z-generation fans worldwide.
“How Sweet” will be released on May 24th, featuring the title track “How Sweet”, the B-side track “Bubble Gum” and instrumental versions of each track, totaling four songs. Album pre-orders began at 11:00 AM on April 26th, and the music video for “Bubble Gum” will be pre-released on April 27th.
Following “How Sweet”, NewJeans will release a new double single in Japan and perform at the Tokyo Dome in June. They will collaborate with the large shopping mall Shibuya 109 in Tokyo, Japan until May 19th.
