Rowoon Explains Why He Left SF9 To Focus On Acting
Rowoon revealed the background story of when he decided to withdraw from the group SF9 and become an actor
On April 25th, the YouTube channel, “Jo Hyun-ah’s Thursday Night” uploaded a new content video featuring the guest appearance of actor Rowoon.
While having a drink with Jo Hyun-ah, Rowoon shared various things about acting. Jo Hyun-ah then asked, “You turned into an actor basically, right? Was there anyone that made you think that you could transform into an actor?”, referring to Rowoon’s decision to withdraw from his idol group SF9 and turned to acting.
In response, Rowoon said, “There wasn’t a particular person but it was just on me. I felt that it’s fun. I had deep thoughts about it for a long time. I knew that there would be risk in the decision. But life is once. I have to take it. I have to prove by working hard”.
When asked, “How many years did you want to act? Didn’t your first work a hit?”, Rowoon shared, “In the first work, I felt the charming parts of this job”.
Choosing “Extraordinary You” as his favorite drama in his filmography, Rowoon said, “The cast… we were all new actors. The genre was fantasy. When we prepared for filming, we really discussed hard and gathered in a cafe to read the scripts and grabbed a beer after”.
