Yoo Jun-won Did Not Respond To PocketDol Studio CEO’s Proposal Of His Return To Fantasy Boys

CEO of Fantasy Boys’s agency wanted to give Yoo Jun-won a chance to return to the group

On December 17th, CEO Kim Kwang-soo of PocketDol Studio said to Daily Sports, “I wanted to give him a chance and wrap up the case as well as possible but it is a little regretful and disappointing. I’ll do my best in the trial”. From the perspective of the CEO, he tried to put aside past issues and give Yoo Jun-won an opportunity to return to Fantasy Boys. However, he was disappointed that Yoo Jun-won did not respond and continued the legal dispute.

According to insiders on the 16th, Yoo Jun-won once again pushed ahead with the lawsuit for the 3 billion won damages claim filed by “Boy Fantasy” production company Funky Studio as he appointed a lawyer from the law firm Pacific.

Earlier, Yoo Jun-won was about to debut as a member of Fantasy Boys after winning first place on MBC’s survival program “Boy Fantasy”. However, prior to the group’s debut, he reportedly dropped out of Fantasy Boys’s schedules without permission and caused controversy over profit distribution. Yoo Jun-won then submitted a request to suspend his exclusive contract with Funky Studio. In response, Funky Studio sued him to claim compensation for damages.

The court later rejected Yoo Jun-won’s contract suspension request as they considered the terms presented by Funky Studio proposed to Yoo Jun-won were in accordance with the standard exclusive contract for an idol singer without any unreasonable demands.

In this regard, CEO Kim Kwang-soo proposed reconciliation and withdrawal of the lawsuit, stating “If he admits his mistakes and returns before the Tokyo concert, we will discuss with the group and let him join”. As Yoo Jun-won did not respond, the CEO decided to take legal action to prevent further damage to the production company.
