J-Hope is performing solo at the Times Square stage for a special New Year broadcast 

He is set to perform two solo songs and a Holiday Remix of BTS’s “Butter.”  

BTS J-Hope’s solo career started with the release of his album “Jack In The Box” in July and was loved by his fans around the world. His first achievement was unlocked by performing solo in the U.S. on July 31st (local time) in Chicago’s famous music festival “Lollapalooza” for about an hour.

For the special year-end occasion, J-Hope will turn up in the United States again this time for another series of spectacular performances. He is set to appear on ABC TV’s New Year’s program “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” on the 31st this month.

After Chicago, it’s Times Square, New York this time

“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” is one of the special celebratory year-end broadcasts live from the night of December 31st to the dawn of January 1st every year. On this day, J-Hope will heat up the stage at Times Square in New York.

He will present three performances, including his solo songs “Equal Sign” (=) and “Chicken Noodle Soup,” as well as his group song “Butter” (Holiday Remix ver.).

When the news broke out that J-Hope would be standing alone in Times Square in New York, ARMYs (BTS’s fandom) cheered loudly with reactions such as “We wrote a new history like this” and “We are really looking forward to the stage.”

Previously, BTS also appeared on the program in 2017 and 2019.

In addition, in 2020, when COVID-19 was prevalent, they greeted viewers around the world through videos instead of appearing in person.
