Song Joong Ki will return through “Reborn Rich,” seeking for revenge.
JTBC’s Friday, Saturday, Sunday drama “Reborn Rich” (directed by Jung Dae Yoon, scripted by Kim Tae Hee and Jang Eun Jae), which will premiere on Nov 18th, unveiled Song Joong Ki’s first still cut on Nov 8th. From a loyal secretary to the youngest son of a conglomerate house seeking for revenge, viewers are highly expecting Song Joong Ki‘s dynamic transformation.
“Reborn Rich” is a fantasy drama in which Yoon Hyun Woo (Song Joong Ki), a secretary who manages owner risks for a conglomerate family, returns as the youngest son of that family, Jin Do Joon (Song Joong Ki), and lives his second life. The meeting between writer Kim Tae Hee, new writer Jang Eun Jae, and director Jung Dae Yoon, who has proven his directing skills with “W” and “She Was Pretty,” is another reason why drama fans are highly anticipating this drama. On top of that, the combination of Song Joong Ki, Lee Sung Min, and Shin Hyun Min, who will step into this sharp confrontation with their own desires, raises expectations even more.
Song Joong Ki plays Yoon Hyun Woo, a loyal secretary of a conglomerate family, and Jin Do Joon, the youngest son of that family. Yoon Hyun Woo, who belongs to the Future Asset Management Team, is responsible for managing the “future assets,” or numerous scandals involving the Sunyang Group family. As he takes care of the matters of the controversial conglomerate family, his unruly visuals and calm aura represent his ability.
The following photos arouse fans’ excitement even more. A young man, who looks relaxed and holds an LP in his hand instead of a briefcase, has the same face as Yoon Hyun Woo but seems to be a completely different person. His identity is Jin Do Joon, the grandson of Sunyang Group’s chairman Jin Yang Cheol (Lee Sung Min). In fact, his existence is actually the result of Yoon Hyun Woo being reincarnated after getting falsely accused and abandoned by the Sunyang family. Receiving a second chance in life, he is expected to take revenge on Sunyang family people who pushed him to the edge of the cliff as the youngest son with two faces. Attention is focused on how Jin Do Joon will fight in the fierce succession war in the house of this turbulent chaebol family.
Song Joong Ki mentioned his relationship with screenwriter Kim Tae Hee and the drama’s interesting worldview as the reasons he selected “Reborn Rich”. The actor explained, “The drama doesn’t end as a fantasy work about reincarnation only. The characters’ detailed emotions were also well harmonized with the material. It was a really interesting work”.
Expectations are also high for the acting transformations of Song Joong Ki, who will portray completely opposite characters, loyal secretary Yoon Hyun Woo and the youngest son of a chaebol family Jin Do Joon, at the same time.
