Lee Yi-kyung Gave Friend 100 Million Won To Open Chicken Restaurant But It Ended Bankrupt

Actor Lee Yi-kyung said he spent 100 million won to set up a chicken restaurant for his friend.

In the latest episode of SBS’s “My Little Old Boy,” which aired on February 18th, actor Lee Yi-kyung, who was recently crowned as a “nation trashy husband” in the drama “Marry My Husband,” appeared as a special MC.

In the show, Lee received countless curses such as “Bad guy,” “Trash husband,” drawing laughter. He shared, “I went to Namdaemun market while filming a variety show, and 90% of the responses I received there were like this. I ran into my next-door neighbor and he called me “bas**rd” as soon as I opened the door.” Seo Jang-hoon said, “I think it’s the best compliment for an actor,” and Lee expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m actually grateful. I wonder if there is such a happy bad guy like me.

Shin Dong-yup said to Lee Yi-kyung, “I heard you take care of people around you so much. You set up a chicken restaurant for your military classmate who was having a hard time.” Lee Yi-kyung replied, “My friend had a hard time during the COVID-19 pandemic, so I wanted to give him another opportunity in life,” and added, “I set up a chicken restaurant (for him).”

When asked if it was running well, he said, “It went bankrupt. I spent 100 million won, but only 15 million won was left. My friend said he would pay me back for the rest of his life, so we are still good friends.

Kim Jong-kook’s mother said, “You have to keep telling about your good deeds, or you will always be a bad guy,” adding that she was overly immersed in “Marry My Husband,” which made him laugh.

Meanwhile, Lee plays Park Min-hwan, husband of Kang Ji-won (played by Park Min-young), in tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Marry My Husband,” which is currently on air. He is loved by the public for his role as a “garbage husband” who commits an affair.
