Cha Eun Woo wrote a heartbreaking letter to the late Moonbin, his only same-age friend in ASTRO (with letters from Sanha, Seventeen Mingyu)
Cha Eun Woo, who was the only same-age member of Moonbin in ASTRO, left a memorial letter for his late friend.
On April 25th, letters from ASTRO Cha Eun Woo, Sanha, and Seventeen Mingyu left at the memorial space of the late Moonbin were revealed on Twitter and online communities.
Cha Eun Woo wrote, “Bin ah. I miss you again tonight, you bad guy. I went for a walk with Sanha and we came here because I couldn’t sleep. Are you sleeping well? Why am I missing and regretting everything I did with you, even the smallest things…”, adding “Be hundreds of times happier in the land of the moon. I’ll take care of what you left behind so don’t worry too much. You worked hard. I love you and I’m sorry, my friend.”
Sanha, who was doing subunit activities with the deceased until recently, also expressed his affection, saying “How are you doing, hyung? I miss you so much… It feels like you are still in front of my eyes. I know you would scold me if you see me in this appearance, but please ignore for a while”, adding “Just you said, I will definitely live happily. I will keep that promise. I love you very much. I love you…”
Seventeen Mingyu also came to the memorial space with the two ASTRO members and left a message. He wrote, “Hi, Bin ah. I came to your company because of you. To me, the most memorable day was when we talked together until morning. Remember that? To you, who had so many worries and concerns, all I could say was, ‘Is there another idol who can do anything well like you?’”, adding “I will work harder! Don’t get sick now and smile more. I’m sorry. You did well, my friend.”
He added, “Next time we meet, I’ll buy you fish cake soup and soju! Please cheer on your members from afar. And my favorite song is ‘waterfall’. Let’s be happy, my friend”
On the previous day, Moonbin’s close friend Seventeen Seungkwan, ASTRO members MJ & Jin Jin, and other Fantagio colleagues, such as Weki Meki Yoo Jung, also visited the memorial space to mourn the deceased. Moonbin’s younger sister Moon Sua also left a heartfelt letter.
Moonbin suddenly passed away on April 19th at the age of 25. His mortuary was set up at the funeral hall of Asan Hospital in Seoul. Moonbin’s funeral was held privately on the morning of the 22nd in accordance with the wish of the bereaved family.
Born in 1998, Moonbin started his career as a children’s clothing model. Later, he appeared in TVXQ’s “Balloons” music video as ‘Little U-Know Yunho’ and made his face known to the public. In 2009, Moonbin officially debuted in the entertainment industry as a child actor by starring in KBS 2TV’s drama “Boys Over Flowers’.
Later in 2016, he made his singing debut with ASTRO and recently carried out an overseas fan tour with subunit member Sanha.
