A detail appearing in Korean dramas foreshadows a sad ending

Every time this image appears, the audience is worried about the end of the drama

After many interesting discoveries about predicting the ending of movies through posters, now Korean moviegoers have found a familiar image that often appears in dramas and has also implicitly foreshadowed the ending. Coincidentally, the dramas with this image all ended with a not-so-happy ending.

Even though Yi Jin (Nam Joo Hyuk) and Hee Do (Kim Tae Ri) spent their youth in love, Yi Jin (Nam Joo Hyuk) and Hee Do (Kim Tae Ri) bid farewell in the final episode of the drama Twenty Five, Twenty One. The tunnel, which is also where the two used to enjoy a happy time, is a particularly poignant place to witness this heartbreaking moment. Now, that tunnel serves as a repository for Yi Jin and Hee Do‘s incomplete but beautiful love story.

In Hotel Del Luna, the tunnel was also featured. The hotel staff left via the tunnel one by one in the last scenes, and Man Wol (IU) was the last to leave. She can only hope that she and Chan Sung (Yeo Jin Goo) would meet again in the next life, despite the fact that she did not have many chances. Man Wol and Chan Sung parted ways in the tunnel.

Goblin also has a painful ending not inferior to the ending of Twenty Five, Twenty One and Hotel Del Luna. The details of the tunnel appear in the scene where Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) saves Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) from kidnappers and it also marked an important turning point of this love story.  Goblin closed with an open ending, Kim Shin continued to wait for his bride Eun Tak in solitude.
