Park Se-wan lands the lead role in ‘Not Very Powerful, but Attractive,’ a comical crime drama

According to Star News’ exclusive report on October 10th, Park Se-wan has been confirmed to be cast as the female lead in the new drama ‘Not Very Powerful, but Attractive’.

‘Not Very Powerful, but Attractive’ is a comical crime investigation drama that tells the story of the weakest violent crime unit in the nation teaming up with the top elite violent crime unit to become the strongest team. 

The script for the drama is written by writers Lee Young-chul and Lee Kwang-jae, known for works such as MBC’s iconic sitcom ‘High Kick!’.

In the drama, Park Se-wan plays Detective Seo Min-seo of Songwon Police Station’s violent crime unit. Contrary to her attractive appearance, the character is modest and outgoing with a warm heart and an infinite capacity for empathy towards others. Alongside Park Se-wan, Kim Dong-wook takes on the role of the male lead.

Park Se-wan, who made her debut in 2016, has established herself as a trustworthy actress by winning Best New Actress at the 2018 KBS Drama Awards, just two years after her debut.

Furthermore, Park Se-wan has proven her stable acting skills by winning the Best Actress in a Daily/Weekend Drama award at the 2019 MBC Drama Awards, the New Wave Award for Best Actress at the 2022 Grand Bell Awards, and Best Supporting Actress in Film at the 2023 Baeksang Arts Awards.

Park Se-wan will also appear in Netflix’s ‘Doona!’ which will premiere on October 20th. The release of her cheerleading-themed movie ‘Victory’ is also approaching.
