A Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency official stated during a regular press conference on the morning of March 13th that the analysis of the seizure materials obtained from Yoo Ah In’s residence would be completed by the end of this week, and that he would be called in to attend the questioning as soon as the analysis was finished.
However, the police stated that Yoo Ah In would be summoned secretly. As of now, no arrest warrant or joint investigation into drug supply has been considered in relation to the current situation.
Earlier, the police received an investigation request from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and executed a search and seizure warrant on Yoo Ah In’s return from the States on February 5th. They also requested a precise examination of Yoo Ah In’s urine and hair samples from the National Forensic Service.
The National Forensic Service subsequently notified the police that Yoo Ah In tested positive for marijuana and propofol. In addition, cocaine and ketamine components were found in his hair sample.
According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Yoo Ah In is suspected of injecting propofol more than 100 times from 2021 to last year. He injected over 4,400 ml of propofol a total of 73 times in 2021, and about 30 times last year.
On March 7th, based on the results of the National Forensic Service analysis, the police raided Yoo Ah In’s residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and his registered address in Itaewon-dong.
