HYBE Staff Angrily Expose Min Hee-jin, Claiming NewJeans’s Success As Result Of HYBE’s Capital

Amid the internal conflict over management rights, staff listed out what HYBE has done to make NewJeans successful as they are now

On April 25th, an HYBE employee drew attention with their post on the community for office workers called “Blind”. 

They said, “I want to ask CEO Min Hee-jin these questions. She said she didn’t need HYBE’s capital. Just ask her how she feels about raising the artists by herself”. The HYBE staff then listed various questions, such as:

– Whose trainees were half of NewJeans members? Where did they receive training?

– Where was the group originally planned to debut, not as ‘Min Hee-jin’s girl group’ or in ADOR?

– Which YouTube account did you use to promote NewJeans’s debut songs Attention, Hype Boy, etc.?

– Who runs campaigns for NewJeans on global platforms like YouTube and Spotify?

– So, who developed the Phoning app?

– Who planned and conducted NewJeans’s fanmeeting?

– Where did NewJeans get the opportunities such as Lollapalooza appearance, Billboard Magazine Cover & Interview, Billboard Music Awards performance & awards, etc.?

– Who had been in charge of all the advertisements, brand partnerships, sponsorships, etc. for NewJeans until the end of last year?

– Then who coordinated to get NewJeans’s appearance on Japanese and US awards?

– Who communicated with reporters and sent press releases for NewJeans both in Korea and overseas?

The HYBE staff added, “I actually have 50 more questions. All of the mentioned things were done by HYBE staff, not ADOR”

Under this post, there were comments from other HYBE employees as well as other company employees.

HYBE staff 1: “What you said is all correctㅋㅋ 3 days before NewJeans’s debut, she suddenly asked me to urgently fix something related to the music video, but I had no choice but to do it for her because the timing was very rushㅋㅋI ended up working overtime for three days… The group was literally created with HYBE’s capital. I just cannot stop laughing now”

CJ ENM staff: “So selfish… She thinks she’s the only one working?”

HYBE staff 2: “Despite having Weverse already, she said she would make Phoning and use it separately. Since then, there have been comments about special treatments. We had to make it although it was so ridiculous”

YG Entertainment staff: “When I saw Phoning being made with no relation to Weverse, I thought it was HYBE who did that and Min Hee-jin was not that greedy… As expected”

HYBE staff 3: “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such a correct post. Thinking of Min Hee-jin’s remarks about the other group copying NewJeans’ brand events, didn’t they copy BLACKPINK to become brand ambassadors in the first place? Weren’t the members getting the chance to be individual ambassadors the result of cooperation with BLACKPINK? All the ambassador deals were done by HYBE but she just quietly received all the fame and accused other labels of copying”

HYBE staff 2: “A good shot. They kept sucking up resources whenever they needed from HYBE’s business and administrative departments, and yet claimed that they did not receive any support??????????? I can even come up with 10 more additional questions”

HYBE staff 2: “Thinking of Phoning makes me angry againㅋ”
