Will there be “Dr. Romantic Season 4”? Actress So Joo Yeon carefully reveals her position

As soon as SBS’s “Dr. Romantic 3” successfully wrapped up its journey, rumors about Season 4 already spread.

The popular drama “Dr. Romantic 3” has come to an end. Airing its final episode on June 17th, SBS’s “Dr. Romantic 3” broke its own highest rating record with an ending that conveyed the dreams and romance of Doldam doctors.

According to Nielsen Korea, the last episode of “Dr. Romantic 3” achieved 16.8% in both nationwide and Seoul ratings with a real-time peak of 19.3%. The drama also ranked No.1 among Saturday miniseries of the same broadcasting time.

In the final broadcast, the appearance of Doldam members, who are preparing to meet patients at the trauma center, and the romantic ending drawn by Kim Sa Bu excited viewers.

In particular, the epilogue showed the back of Yoon Seo Jung (Seo Hyun Jin), the female lead of Season 1, standing in front of Doldam Hospital after returning from the U.S., heralding a full meeting between Kim Sa Bu and his beloved Doldam students.

With the return of Kang Dong Joo (Yoo Yeon Seok) and now Yoon Seo Jung, viewers are already anticipating the production of “Dr. Romantic Season 4”.

In the meantime, actress So Joo Yeon, who played Yoon Ah Reum in “Dr. Romantic 3”, drew attention as she mentioned Season 4.

When asked about Season 4 in a recent interview with Xports News, So Joo Yeon said, “If it happens, I will consider starring in the drama. We are currently not in the situation to discuss that with each other, so I have to be cautious with my words”.

She added, “It hasn’t been long since the writer and the director worked hard to successfully complete Season 1 and 2. We still need to be careful about the future plan”.

Meanwhile, “Dr. Romantic” depicts the story of real doctors against the background of Doldam Hospital in the countryside. Both Season 1 (2016) and Season 2 (2020) became SBS’s mega-hit series by recording 27% rating.
