TWS Surpassed IU in Melon Annual Ranking but Mocked by Netizens? 

In the evening of May 27, a topic titled “Melon Annual Ranking Update, TWS’s “plot twist” #1” was published on the Korean forum “theqoo” and attracted almost 600 comments. 

According to the topic, the accumulated listeners of TWS’s”plot twist” has surpassed that of IU’s “Love Wins All” in the Annual Ranking of Korean music platform Melon, an unprecedented achievement for a rookie boy group. 

Reacting to this news, however, most netizens show a mocking attitude, even raising accusations of chart manipulation. Some still defend the group, saying that “plot twist” is a good song, but they are just a minority.
