TWICE’s New York concert, an unforgettable night of show-stopping performances with thousands of fans

TWICE becomes the first Kpop girl group to perform a sold-out concert at MetLife Stadium in New York.

TWICE held a solo concert at MetLife Stadium in New York as part of its fifth World Tour “READY TO BE” on July 6.

In May 2022, they held two encore concerts at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles to mark the end of his fourth world tour “III” in May 2022 and expanded the scope of their tour to the first North American stadium in K-pop girl group history.

So far, a total of four stadium performances held by TWICE in North America were sold out in all rounds. They were sold at a rapid speed, and additional ticket sales had to be opened twice. MetLife is four times the capacity of the Kia Forum, where their first U.S. concert of the girl group was held.

TWICE opened their performance at the MetLife Stadium with songs from their 12th mini-album “Ready to Be” such as “Set Me Free,” “Moonlight Sunrise,” and other iconic tracks such as “I Can’t Stop Me,” “The Feels,” and “Talk that Talk.” The JYP girl group heated up the stage with electrifying performances and dazzling costumes. Fans also matched their energy by singing along to the rich set list of 30 songs while holding up their Candy Lightstick. The concert also lit up the sky with a splendid firework show that generated even more excitement in the air.

TWICE did not forget to thank ONCEs for joining them on a large stage. Dahyun also shared that the MetLife performance marked her 11th year standing as an idol under JYP; therefore, it was more meaningful for the idol on this day. 

At the end of the performance, a video was released, surprising 50,000 cloud audiences. Jihyo’s solo debut album teaser marking Jihyo’s solo debut came out for the first time. In the video, Jihyo radiated a confident aura.

Meanwhile, TWICE will wrap up their  North American tour in nine cities before leaving for Singapore for a two-night concert. Afterward, they will tour Europe and turn back to Asia to wrap up a half-year-long World Tour. Jihyo’s solo debut “ZONE” and the title track “Killin’ Me Good” will be released officially on August 18.
