Sunye “‘Tell Me’ was banned as an election song…Realize popularity at university festival” (Knowing Bros)

On JTBC’s entertainment program “Knowing Bros”, which aired on March 18th, “mother idols” S.E.S. Bada, Wonder Girls Sunye and Crayon Pop Soyul appeared and talked.

Sunye said, “We have one thing in common: 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations of girl groups. We became mothers after working in girl groups.“

Sunye, who worked as a member of the second-generation idol group Wonder Girls, revealed, “When we released ‘Tell Me’ right after our debut, we were too busy promoting and couldn’t feel the public’s reaction.“

Lee Jin Ho, who remembered Wonder Girls’ popularity, surprised everyone by saying, “It was during the presidential election. There was even a rumor that ‘Tell Me’ was banned as an election song.“

Sunye, who agreed with Lee Jin Ho’s words, shared, “One day, we attended a university festival. We couldn’t hear the accompaniment because the cheering was so loud. We danced to the command. That’s when we realized our popularity.“
