Show host Jung Yoon Jung apologizes for controversy over abusive language

On March 17th, Jung Yoon Jung apologized through her Instagram, “As many of you have heard through the media, I acknowledge the fact that I used inappropriate expressions or to be precise, abusive language during the broadcast on January 28th. I apologize to all the broadcasting staff who had to endure a lot of inconvenience and damage, as well as to my precious customers who have always given affection and attention to me.

She continued, “Despite the fact that I had to always look back on myself and think about returning the love I received, I ended up using expressions that I should never have done.

She apologized again, “At first, I didn’t even realize it myself, but many people pointed out my mistake. I also watched the broadcast countless times and realized how big of a mistake I had made. I apologize again for the delay in even a sincere apology.

Jung Yoon Jung promised, “Amidst the scolding from many people through comments, there were many grateful words that I must engrave on both today’s Jung Yoon Jung and tomorrow’s Jung Yoon Jung. I’ll listen carefully and look back more.

She added, “From now on, I’ll live with a more responsible and humble attitude towards the hard work and love of everyone who has made me today for over 20 years. Thank you for reading this long post.

Earlier in January, Jung Yoon Jung cursed “XX, I was going to go play” when she was unable to end the broadcast early even though all the products got sold out during a live home shopping broadcast.

Also, when the production team asked for a correction, she said, “I’ll correct. What do you mean by ‘inappropriate language for broadcasting’? I’m sorry that I sometimes use inappropriate language while broadcasting, but please watch it like an entertainment show.

Besides, to a netizen’s criticism, Jung Yoon Jung started a “war of words” by responding, “You really hate me. Don’t ever watch my Instagram broadcast. Getting angry is stressful and it’s not good for your health.” Afterwards, as the controversy grew, she made her SNS private.

Regarding the controversy over Jung Yoon Jung’s abusive language, the Advertising Review Subcommittee held a meeting on March 14th and unanimously decided to state its opinion.
