Recently, SHINee’s Key organized a solo concert titled “2024 Keyland: On: and On,” which took place over two days on January 27 and 28, 2024. It is known that family and many close friends attended the concert to support Key, including NCT’s Ten and Renjun, VIVIZ, and many more.
Key’s longtime close friend, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, also appeared. During a performance, Key affectionately mentioned the SNSD member, and the camera captured Taeyeon holding a lightstick to support Key.
However, what surprised netizens the most was the person sitting next to Taeyeon – the former NCT member Lucas. Key also greeted and received a warm response from Lucas, who made his first public appearance after a series of controversies quite some time ago.
Many fans felt joyous witnessing the friendship between Key, Taeyeon, and Lucas. Still, some were unhappy seeing their idols interact with the former NCT member after his serious of scandals.
On the other hand, Lucas was a member of NCT and WayV. However, at the end of 2021, the male idol faced accusations of dating fans and cheating on them. There were even allegations that Lucas spoke ill of fellow group members and other idols, leading to a temporary halt in his activities. Many NCT fans also opposed Lucas’s return to the group.
On May 10, 2023, SM suddenly announced Lucas’s departure from the lineup of NCT and WayV, as well as mentioned that he will promote as a solo artist.
Meanwhile, regarding the allegations against Lucas, some of those without evidence, SM remained silent, infuriating fans.
In early 2023, Lucas was spotted with high-ranking SM staff, revealing images of dance practice and sparking early rumors of a comeback. However, he ultimately did not have any activity ever since.
