“PERSONA” BTS at the 1st place of Billboard 200… Third time makes a record

On 15th (local time) according to a preview posted on Billboard’s website, BTS’s new album “Map of the Soul: Persona,” released on 12th, topped the Billboard’s main album chart “Billboard 200.”

This is the third time that BTS has swept the Billboard charts since the release of their third full-length album “Love Yourself” (LOVE YOURSELF 轉 Tear) in May last year and the repackaged album “Love Yourself” (LOVE YOURSELF 結 ANSWER).

We expect BTS will get a record of 225,000 points from 200,000 by the 18th. The Billboard 200 chart on April 27 will be released on our website on 21st, “Map of the Soul: Persona” will be the number one.” Billboard said.

BTS earned 185,000 points in the first week of their release during “Love Yourself” last year, topping the Billboard 200 list If they earn= more than 200,000 points as expected by Billboard, they will surpass their previous record.

A Billboard shows the album’s sales by combining: 1) Traditional album sales, 2) Track equivalent albums: TEAR, 3) Streaming equivalent albums: SEA, which translates to album sales.

If 10 songs are downloaded or 1,500 songs are streamed, a traditional album is considered purchased.

ARMY was not able to hide the pleasure when BTS’s victory report was announced.

Naver ID ‘odob ****’ said, “We are proud of our singers and fans, and we have a sense of accomplishment.”

Twitter ID @THANS** said, “Billboard is still in the aggregate period, but the sales of BTS’ album are overwhelming, and they announced the top spot first,”.

BTS returned to Korea on March 13 after first releasing a new stage at NBC ‘s’ Saturday Night Live’ (SNL). They will hold a global conference at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul on the 17th.

They will then hold a tour calls “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” (SPEAK YOURSELF) in eight countries, starting from Los Angeles on May 4-5 and then going through Chicago and New Jersey, London, France, Paris, Osaka, Japan, and Shizuoka.
