Jisoo shares thoughts on controversies over history distortion, terrible acting skills: “The road may not always be smooth”
BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, who has recently been embroiled in various controversies, spoke up through an interview.
The magazine Dazed released Jisoo‘s pictorial along with part of the interview on Jan 4th. Jisoo said, “I want to challenge boldly and fearlessly as always. The road may not always be smooth, but I will do my best without regret. And I want to continue to look into myself and become a better person.”
The female idol added, “Everything I did was possible thanks to BLINK’s full support. I hope you can walk with me in 2022 as well.” She also expressed her gratitude towards her fan club, “We will come back with better performances, so I hope we can be happy together. I love you.”
Meanwhile, Jisoo has been embroiled in various scandals due to JTBC’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Snowdrop“. The work was highly anticipated as it was the first acting challenge of the BLACKPINK member, but it was caught up in controversy over distorting the democratization movement in the 1980s and 1990s, which served as the foundation for Korean democracy. In addition, Jisoo, who played the female lead, has been criticized by netizens for her acting skills.
However, the ratings of “Snowdrop” rose from 1.7% to 3.3% in episode 7, seeing an opportunity for a rebound.
