Yoo Yeon-seok Touched as Kim Hye-soo Personally Informs Him of Her Final Blue Dragon Hosting This Year
Actor Yoo Yeon-seok mentioned senior Kim Hye-soo, who will be leaving the MC position at the Blue Dragon Film Awards after 30 years.
Yoo Yeon-seok appeared on the episode of tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ broadcast on the 22nd.
Yoo Yeon-seok has been serving as the MC for the Blue Dragon Film Awards alongside Kim Hye-soo for the past five years. He announced, “This year, Kim Hye-soo senior will host for the 30th time and will leave the MC position.”
Yoo Yeon-seok praised Kim Hye-soo, saying, “Senior Kim Hye-soo is the symbol and goddess of the Blue Dragon. The day before the news came out that this year would be her last hosting, she personally contacted me. She contacted me in advance so that I wouldn’t be surprised. I was very grateful and moved.”
He continued, “Even after the film festival ended, I never had the chance to have a meal with senior. So when she contacted me this time, I told her, ‘Even a simple meal would be nice.'”
Upon hearing this, MC Yoo Jae-suk applauded and said, “I think Kim Hye-soo noona was not just a part of the history of the Blue Dragon, but the Blue Dragon itself.”
This year’s 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony will mark Kim Hye-soo’s 30th appearance on the Blue Dragon stage and will serve as a farewell stage for her.
