Director & Cast Reveal Impressions & “Sweet Home 3” Highlights

“Sweet Home 3” depicts the desperate struggles of people who are at the crossroads of choice between monsters and humans in a world where it’s the end of the monster era and the beginning of a new world. Along with the release of behind-the-scenes still cuts, director Lee Eung-bok and the main character actors revealed their impressions about wrapping up the series and highlights of the final season.

First of all, director Lee Eung-bok mentioned the difference between Season 3 and previous seasons, saying “If Season 2 tells about people going through a crisis while fighting against monsters and getting trapped, Season 3 tries to show the growth of the characters as well as their various emotions in the process of solving mysterious events”.

Season 3 is about the characters and stories of people facing another change in the monsterized situation with the emergence of new characters. Director Lee said, “The point of this season is how the characters fight with each other in the battle between Sang-wook, who became a demon, Hyun-soo, who tries to protect humanity, Yi-kyung, who protects the child, and Tak In-hwan, who protect people”, making viewers look forward to the continuous struggles of the characters to end the world of monsters.

Director Lee Eung-bok, from being the original creator of K-creature to ending the unique “Sweet Home” series, expressed his feelings, saying “The genre of ‘Sweet Home’ is creature, but I believe that it’s actually a drama about growth. I’m touched upon noticing that not only the characters but also the actors have grown a lot”.

The main cast also pointed out the highlights of “Sweet Home Season 3”. “Sang-wook” Lee Jin-wook said, “It’s the way the characters go beyond the chaos and find the balance in the process of facing a new era”. “Yi-kyung” Lee Si-young shared, “The birth and change of new human”, while “Eun-yoo” Go Min-si confessed, “The action scenes in Season 3 are very intense and fierce”.

Jinyoung, who appears as Chan-young, said, “I acted with the feeling of a mission to be with the team until the end of Season 3. It’s a very precious and special project to me”. “Tak In-hwan Yoo Oh-sung shared, “Thanks to ‘Sweet Home’, I was able to live as an actor”. In addition, Oh Jung-se, who plays Dr. Lim, said, “It was great to be able to work with good actors and wonderful staff”, while “Young-hoo” Kim Moo-yeol shared, “It was my honor to participate in challenging ‘Sweet Home’ and become part of this huge worldview”. Kim Si-ah, who plays Yi-kyung’s child, also expressed her feelings, saying “It was so special to witness the ‘Sweet Home’ characters’ journey until the end while participating in it”.

Following Season 1, which announced the beginning of the K-creature genre about monsters born from greed, and Season 2, which expanded the worldview by portraying humans living in a prolonged era of monsters, Season 3, which marks the grand finale with the birth of a new kind of human, will be released on July 19th.
