The name BLACKPINK comes up, according to the Korean media – the female K-pop world with a global reach. According to YTN, BLACKPINK has a distinct, clear, and unique sound; the members are capable of dancing and singing. Most importantly, BLACKPINK has a burgeoning global fanbase.

From August to September last year, BLACKPINK surpassed BTS in the brand reputation rankings, stemming from the fact that the members of the YG girl group are ambassadors of top, luxury brands in the world.

BLACKPINK also enjoys jaw-dropping concert revenues. The “BORN PINK” world tour has become the highest-grossing tour by a female group, surpassing the last record holder – Spice Girls and the “Spice World” tour in 2019, which amassed 78.2 million USD.

In concrete figures, BLACKPINK garnered 78.5 million USD with 366,000 sold tickets for 26 shows. The figure is expected to rise as the tour has not come to an end. The ticket sales from the concert is reaching 100 million USD. Most recently, BLACKPINK became the first K-pop act to headline 2023 Coachella.

As of the moment, BTS members are branching out to pursue their solo careers before the military deadline. Not having to deal with that matter, BLACKPINK is vying for the top spot. With music that targets a specific group of audience, BLACKPINK has what it takes to maintain the heat of K-pop on the global map of the music industry.
