BABYMONS7ER “We wanted to debut in YG unconditionally…We’re YG’s DNA”
BABYMONS7ER recently had an interview with Herald Economics and shared about their debut.
“It’s a great honor just to be able to receive the modifier ‘BLACKPINK’s younger sister group’,” said BABYMONS7ER in a recent interview with Herald Economics at YG Entertainment’s headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
In this interview, member Ruka shared, “I have met more than 20 trainees for the past six years. Whenever my friends left, I was also worried that I would join them next time,” adding, “I always wanted to debut in YG. No matter how hard it was, I worked hard to make my debut.“
Ahyeon said, “There was one day when I good results at the evaluation. I thought I could do anything on such a day,” and added, “A compliment and encouragement do not solve everything, but I think we are here now after overcoming the difficulties of each month because this one stage is worth a lot of money for us. There are some difficulties, but I felt like I was growing.“
BABYMONS7ER members emphasized that its strength was that “it is a girl group that inherited ‘YG DNA’.”
Ahyeon said, “YG’s unique characteristics are to capture each member’s unique voice and personality through hip-hop-based music,” and Rora added, “We will gradually find our own colors based on YG DNA.“
BABYMONS7ER have conflicting images, just like their team name. The members said, “We are a group that shows charismatic sides like ‘Monster’ when we are on stage, although we have a lot of playful sides like ‘Baby’ when we don’t practice.“
