Many people are still raising hope to see “National MCs” Yoo Jae Suk and Kang Ho Dong collaborate again after 16 years.
In the early 2000s, Yoo Jae Suk and Kang Ho Dong were active on various broadcasts together and even got nicknamed “Yoo-Kang line”. However, this combination has not been seen again since the program “X Man” ended in 2007.

At that time, Kim Hee Chul jokingly said, “That’s because he (Kang Ho Dong) lost in a ‘Kung Kung Ta’ game a long time ago. He made a lifelong bet with Yoo Jae Suk that whenever he meets Yoo Jae Suk, he would have to get hit all the time. That’s why the two can’t be on a show together”.

Recently, Yoo Jae Suk also expressed his position on collaborating with Kang Ho Dong. On a Youtube content video released on March 21st, Yoo Jae Suk was asked, “Why can’t you and Ho Dong hyung appear on a broadcast together? Many people want to see it”. In response, he said, “I’m afraid he would feel pressured.”
Yoo Jae Suk explained, “If Ho Dong is here with me, I can freely joke around as much as I want, but I don’t want to make it difficult for him. I don’t want to burden him. I’m currently hosting this show, but if Ho Dong is here, we can do it together. We will do a program together someday”.
He also added, “Ho Dong hyung loves doing variety shows. Just as how much we like him, Ho Dong also treasures us and cares for us. However, such stories can also be a little bit burdensome.”
Yoo Jae Suk also cautiously continued, “People around me often say, ‘I hope you two can meet up more often’. I really appreciate their kind words, but it can become a burden for both of us. If the atmosphere when we meet seems a little heavy, it would not happen. We have to meet by chance. I’m talking about Ho Dong hyung, but I also shouldn’t make him feel pressured.”
