Actor Lee Jong Suk was awarded Daesang at MBC Drama Awards for the second time with “Big Mouth”, following “W” (2016).
The 2022 MBC Drama Awards was held at MBC Media Center on December 30th. The award ceremony was hosted by Kim Sung Joo and Choi Soo Young.
Lee Jong Suk was announced as Daesang winner for the second time, following the first time with the drama “W” in 2016. Delivering his acceptance speech, Lee Jong Suk said, “Since you gave me so much love and even a big award like this, I can feel its weight and a different sense of responsibility”. He also thanked “Big Mouth” production team and cast.
Drama of the Year went to “Big Mouth”, which was successful in both viewer ratings and popularity. “Big Mouth” Im Yoon Ah (Yoona) won Top Excellence Award, Actress in a Miniseries. She shared, “I was very busy with both acting and singing activities in 2022. Among them, the work ‘Big Mouth’ is a meaningful and unforgettable work because it gives me such a big award”.
Yook Sung Jae took the stage to receive the trophy for Top Excellence Award, Actor in a Miniseries. He said, “I met such a wonderful drama and worked hard. I’m grateful to ‘The Golden Spoon’ team for allowing me to get this award”. He especially mentioned actor Choi Won Young and thanked him for helping him when they acted together.
In addition, Lee Jong Suk and Im Yoon Ah received loud cheers when they were announced as Best Couple at the award ceremony.
