Ahn Eun-jin Claims No.1 in Drama Actor Popularity Rankings, Surpassing Rowoon and Namgoong Min
The popularity ranking for OTT K-dramas in the second week of October 2023 has been announced
As of October 17th, Ahn Eun-jin (MBC ‘My Dearest’) claimed the first place in the Top 10 Drama Actors’ popularity rankings. Following Ahn Eun-jin, Namgoong Min (MBC ‘My Dearest’) took second place, and Rowoon (JTBC ‘Destined With You’) secured the third place, with Jo Bo-ah (JTBC ‘Destined With You’) in the fourth place and Lee Yoo-mi (JTBC ‘Strong Girl Nam Soon’) in the fifth place.
This ranking included a total of 29 TV dramas and OTT original dramas that were released from October 9th to October 15th, 2023, and covered leading, supporting, and cameo roles.
In episode 12, which aired on October 14th, the story of Lee Jang-hyun (Namgoong Min) and Yoo Gil-chae (Ahn Eun-jin), who ended up under the same sky but had their paths cross fleetingly, was depicted. Yoo Gil-chae, who had become a captive, narrowly escaped death several times, and just when it seemed like her fate was sealed, Lee Jang-hyun appeared as if by destiny, delivering such a powerful ending that it left the viewers’ hearts pounding.
As viewers eagerly anticipate how they will overcome future obstacles, episode 13 will be broadcast on Friday, October 20th, at 9:50 PM KST.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Namgoong Min shared the news of ‘My Dearest’ topping the drama actor’s popularity rankings through his Instagram. He cheerfully celebrated by attaching heart emoticons to Ahn Eun-jin’s photo and said, “I’m proud of my romantic partner.”
The Top 10 Drama TV-OTT Popularity rankings, which were announced on the same day, include 1st place MBC ‘My Dearest,’ 2nd place JTBC ‘Strong Girl Nam Soon,’ and 3rd place Netflix ‘Devil’s Plan,’ among others.
