When it comes to the most famous survival movies in Asia, it is impossible not to mention the Korean blockbuster Train To Busan. Director Yeon Sang Ho‘s work became a box office hit back in 2016 by portraying a zombie apocalypse.

‘Alive’ revolves around Joon Woo (Yoo Ah In) – a video game live streamer’s struggle for survival as he was forced to stay alone at his apartment in Seoul during a zombie apocalypse. While depressed and desperate, when he was about to commit suicide, Joon Woo discovered that the girl in the opposite building was still alive. The two planned to escape from this dangerous area. That journey of survival was not easy when they thought they were saved, but fell into the hands of an ‘ajjussi’ who raised his wife that turned into a zombie.
Sweet Home (2020)
Sweet Home is a cult horror and survival film released on the Netflix platform. The work brought great success to the cast: Song Kang, Lee Do Hyun, Lee Si Young, Lee Jin Wook, etc.
This project is adapted from the famous webtoon of authors Kim Carnby and Hwang Young Chan. The plot revolves around the main character Cha Hyun Soo (Song Kang) – a high school student who is a victim of school violence.

Exit (2019)
Exit is a 2019 South Korean disaster action comedy film, written and directed by Lee Sang-geun, and starring Jo Jong-suk and SNSD Yoona. The film follows the story of Yong Nam, who was one of the best rock climbers in college but hasn’t had much luck elsewhere after graduation. He has failed to get a job for many years and has to rely on his parents just to get by. For his mother’s 70th birthday, he insisted on having the party at Dream Garden because his old crush, Eui Ju works there. When a disaster strikes, covering an entire district in Seoul with mysterious white gas, he has to use all of his rock climbing skills with the help of Eui Ju to get everyone to safety.
