BABYMONSTER’s Official Debut with Ahyeon Confirmed for April 1st with Exciting Events Ahead

YG Entertainment has changed the official debut date of BABYMONSTER to April 1st.

Yang Hyun Suk, the head producer of YG, announced in the first teaser video for BABYMONSTER’s debut mini-album released on March 18th on YG’s official channel, “I considered BABYMONSTER’s official debut as a mini-album.”

He continued, “BABYMONSTER plans to start their music show activities with the release of the mini-album on April 1st and is also considering various events and performances to directly meet their fans.”

Earlier, BABYMONSTER released the debut single “Batter Up” in November last year. At that time, excluding Ahyeon, who was absent from the debut due to health issues, they debuted as a six-member group.

This time, BABYMONSTER will release their 1st mini-album as a complete group of seven members with Ahyeon’s return. YG seems to have chosen the mini-album release date as BABYMONSTER’s official debut day.

BABYMONSTER is set to drop “SHEESH,” a hip-hop genre song, as the title track of the album. Yang Hyun Suk explained, “‘Batter Up’ has a bright, wholesome, and healthy image, while ‘Sheesh’ has a dark concept. The chorus is powerful and the choreography is also very fun and addictive.”

One of the tracks, “Like That,” was directly produced by Charlie Puth for BABYMONSTER. Yang Hyun Suk said, “Both I and the members received a great gift from Charlie Puth an artist we all like. I’m sure you will also love the song when you listen to it.”
