3 female idols who pursued acting but were unsuccessful
Hani (EXID), Jisoo (BLACKPINK), and Nancy (MOMOLAND) are all successful female idols yet they all totally failed in the acting industry.
In Korean showbiz, idols opting to enter the film industry is not unusual, yet the number of idols who are recognized as actors is few. Aside from the issue of acting skills, these three female idols have all had bad luck with their film projects.
1. Jisoo (BLACKPINK)
Snowdrop isn’t BLACKPINK Jisoo‘s debut series, but it is the first time she plays a female lead and is acknowledged as an actress. However, there have been numerous occurrences affecting the female idol since the film’s production. Snowdrop was promptly noticed because another series was banned from broadcasting due to historical distortion, despite the fact that it hasn’t been released. 2. Hani (EXID)
Compared to idol-actors, Hani is a bright face when possessing an impressive acting ability. However, Hani has never really shined as an actress. Her films, whatever the genre, were not commercially successful. Most recently, the drama IDOL: The Coup also recorded an average rating of less than 1%. Through 12 episodes, not a single episode achieved a rating of 1%.
3. Nancy (MOMOLAND)
Not only working hard in filming, Nancy even entered foreign markets but bad luck did not stop following her. Her debut role as a cameo in Dae Jang Geum Is Watching caused Nancy to be heavily criticized for her failed performance. Nancy didn’t give up. She then played a villain role in the Japanese movie “Blue Student Council,” but the movie was released just as the outbreak broke out, and it had to be pulled from theaters.
