The hairstyle of this “The Glory” villainous character is making him go viral.
Recently, on Twitter, a post with the caption “The Glory eradication of the short hair craze” was shared and attracted attention. The post contains a comparison photo of Song Hye Kyo, who plays Moon Dong Eun, the main character of “The Glory”, and Heo Dong Won, who plays teacher Choo.
Netizens captioned “The hair I wanted” on Song Hye Kyo’s photo and “Me after getting that haircut” on Heo Dong Won’s photo, evoking laughter because of how relatable it is. As this meme went viral, Heo Dong Won even posted this on his own Instagram.
In “The Glory”, Heo Dong Won plays Teacher Choo, a villain Moon Dong Eun met at school. He talks to her with a smile on his face, but he keeps asking unpleasant questions and hides his rudeness by saying “Nong ~ Dam ~ (Just kidding).” For this reason, Mr. Choo was nicknamed ‘the rags villain’.
Heo Dong-won has drawn the characterization of the villain with a high degree of perfection, from Mr. Chu’s visual to the delicious dialogue tone. He is complimented to have created a villain who everyone is bound to hate with his chilling lines, quiet way of talking, cold and scary eyes on a visual that is hard to digest: eye-catching short hair, flower-patterned scarves and striped knitwear.
The Glory is a work that depicts the story of a woman whose soul has been destroyed by school violence and the revenge she has meticulously prepared for her whole life and those who fall into the vortex.
Part 1 was released on the 30th of last month, and Part 2 is scheduled to be released in March.
