“Call It Love” stars Kim Young Kwang and Lee Sung Kyung impressed everyone with their explosive chemistry.
Kim Young Kwang and Lee Sung Kyung are playing the roles of Han Dong Jin and Shim Woo Joo in Disney+’s original series “Call It Love”. Nicknamed “WooDong Couple (Woo Joo & Dong Jin), the two are receiving huge attention for their extraordinary chemistry. Viewers are showing enthusiastic support for WooDong Couple, whose story begins as revenge but later becomes love.
Due to Kim Young Kwang and Lee Sung Kyung’s affectionate eye acting in every episode of “Call It Love”, many people are questioning whether the two actors are actually dating in real life. In fact, it is known that even the production staff have suspected their relationship. During the drama press conference held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore last December, “Call It Love” director Lee Kwang Young said, “People in the editing room are claiming that Kim Young Kwang and Lee Sung Kyung might be dating”, adding “I could feel it through the way the two exchange their gaze during the shoots”. The director continued, “When Dong Jin already falls for Woo Joo, Woo Joo becomes so pretty in his eyes and he looks at her with the eyes of someone in love.”
“Call It Love” is a drama about Woo Joo (Lee Sung Kyung), who hits rock bottom after discovering her father’s affair, planning revenge but ending up falling in love with Dong Jin (Kim Young Kwang), the son of her late father’s mistress who kicked her out of her family home.
Working with each other for the first time through this work, Kim Young Kwang and Lee Sung Kyung naturally portrayed the love between a man and a woman who slowly fall for each other. Kim Young Kwang shared, “As Woo Joo began to get closer to many people, I think there were moments when we both fell in love with the characters”, adding “We had lived as our characters until the drama filming ended.” Meanwhile, Lee Sung Kyung also said, “It was great to be Woo Joo on the set. The production team created a comfortable shooting set where we didn’t have to worry about anything else. That’s why we were able to immerse ourselves in the characters”.
The biggest common point between Kim Young Kwang and Lee Sung Kyung is that they are both successful model-turned-actors. The production team praised the two actors, saying “Kim Young Kwang boasts a warm visual with his outstanding height and wide shoulders. Lee Sung Kyung exudes her goddess beauty with her tall height, perfect body proportions, and pretty face even when wearing no makeup. Their admirable appearances and eyes full of loneliness added to the unique charms of their characters.”

On the photo shooting set, the two actors also revealed the highlights of “Call It Love”. Kim Young Kwang said emphasized the nonverbal expressions of Dong Jin and Woo Joo, while Lee Sung Kyung mentioned the changes in Woo Joo’s voice tone depending on her emotions.
“Call It Love” is releasing two episodes every Wednesday on Disney+.
