The 2021 SBS Gayo Daejeon: A successful Christmas music festival opened by Wendy and ended with BTS
The grand music festival with 25 artists filling the Christmas night has ended.
Held at Namdong Gymnasium, Incheon, on Christmas day (December 25th), the 2021 SBS Gayo Daejeon (SBS Music Festival) hosted by Boom, SHINee Key and ITZY Yuna was broadcast live.
The 2021 SBS Gayo Daejeon featured a lineup of 25 artists, including NCT 127, NCT DREAM, Key, NU’EST, Red Velvet, Oh My Girl, Brave Girls, ASTRO, The Boyz, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, ITZY, TXT, STAYC, aespa, Enhypen, IVE, WOODZ, SF9, Minnie ((G)I-DLE), Lee Chae-yeon, Simon Dominic, Gray, Loco and Lee Hi.
The opening stage began when Red Velvet Wendy started singing “All I Want for Christmas Is You”, and then all singers participating in this music festival joined the performance. Suffering a sad memory of an injury two years ago at the 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon, Wendy returned to the event this year with a healthy appearance, making the event’s opening more meaningful.
Then 25 groups and solo singers performed impressive stages prepared by themselves and received compliments from KPOP fans. Especially, the collaboration stage of a special unit consisting of (G)I-DLE Minnie, Lee Chae-yeon, ITZY Ryujin, and StayC Isa, as well as AOMG Special stage performed by Simon Dominic, Gray, Loco and Lee Hi, drew admiration.
Moreover, the 2021 SBS Music Festival ended with a message video from BTS wishing for our normal life to soon be recovered.
