Jimin’s extraordinary performance on the global short-form video platform TikTok has been revealed.
Jimin showed himself as a “TikTok King” with his hashtag “#jimin” surpassing 126 billion mentions on TikTok.
As of December 20th, Jimin gained more than 180.6 billion views with 6 hashtags, including #jimin (126.2 billion views), #parkjimin (268 billion views), #btsjimin (78 billion views), #지민 (“Jimin” in Korean, 62 billion views), #Jiminie (53 billion views) and the one with Jimin’s name in Arabic (5.5 billion views), certifying his huge impact.
As TikTok users enjoy adding background music, Jimin’s solo song “Filter” beat “IDOL” and “Savage Love” to rank 5th among BTS’s title songs, following “Permission to Dance”, “Boy With Luv”, “Fake Love” and “Go”, and 1st among solo songs.
The track “With You”, which was released as the OST for tvN’s drama “Our Blues”, is also used as background music in more than 208,200 videos, the highest record among OSTs. The song is also gaining enthusiastic love from TikTok users with more than 411 million mentions for audio and 73.2 million “likes”.
In particular, Jimin has two contents with more than 100 million views despite having no personal account. Among his videos uploaded on BTS’s official TikTok account, “Bangbangcon (Enjoying BTS Concert in my Room)” promotional content and “Jimin’s unstoppable Dynamite dance” recorded more than 126.3 million and 105.6 million views, respectively.
Jimin previously did the dance of “Boy With Luv” at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards and attracted over 1 billion views and more than 67,000 videos for the trend on Douyin, the Chinese version of Tiktok. He recently joined “Run BTS” Challenge and continues to arouse explosive responses.
Jimin proved his ripple effect by leading the trend participated by over 1.6 billion users through TikTok. Even without any activity, he has proved his influence on another level as an icon and idol who dominates the TikTok platform in both views, videos, and music categories.
