SHINee Key got emotional after achieving his 1st win as a soloist on Music Core

SHINee Key won the No.1 trophy on Music Core today.

On the broadcast of MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core” aired October 9th, Red Velvet‘s “Queendom”, ITZY‘s “LOCO” and Key‘s “BAD LOVE” were nominated for the No.1 spot. After adding up the scores based on various criteria at the end of the broadcast, first place went to Key while Red Velvet ranked No.2.

The member of SHINee came on stage without expecting anything. Then, when the MCs called his name, he was so surprised, “Oh, why me?”. While being emotional, he continued to express his feelings, “Thank you to my fans and all staff who have worked hard for this album. I will not forget this moment. It means I will try to work harder”. “BAD LOVE” is Key’s title song for his mini-album released on the 27th of last month. It’s a pop dance song that creates a retro mood. The lyrics of this song tragically describe a man being heartbroken by a nightmare love, but he still couldn’t let it go.
