Kang Ha-neul, who acted a romance with SNSD Yoona in “Happy New Year”, talked about his unexpected kiss scene with a male actor

Actor Kang Ha-neul expressed his feelings about the kiss scene with Cho Joon-young.

At the press conference for movie “Happy New Year” held at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of December 27th, Kang Ha-neul drew laughter by saying “It was moist”, when talking about his feelings of having an unexpected kiss scene with Cho Joon-young. He added, “Joon-young said it was the first kiss scene in his acting life, but I’m really sorry that I took that first kiss”, adding, “Thinking about that now, I remembered I said sorry to him a lot at the filming site. I’m sorry.”

Director Kwak Jae-yong then said, “I was really surprised when Kang Ha-neul filmed that scene. He kept making me feel relieved, and we just continued the filming”, adding, “I was touched by how he showed himself as an actor and a senior at the same time”. Kang Ha-neul responded, “I felt like I should finish what I had to do quickly”.

Cho Joon-young said, “When I heard that I would film my first kiss scene, I filmed it right in that first filming day. That’s my honor. I’m happy about shooting my first kiss scene”, adding, “I was very nervous that day, but the senior took really good care of me and made me feel relaxed, so I think our reactions came out more realistically.”

Meanwhile, “Happy New Year” tells about people who visit Hotel Emross with their own stories and create relationships in their own ways. 14 actors, including Han Ji-min, Lee Dong-wook, Kang Ha-neul, Lim Yoona, Won Jin-ah, Lee Hye-young, Jung Jin-young, Kim Young-kwang, Seo Kang-joon, Lee Kwang-soo, Ko Sung-hee, Lee Jin-wook, Cho Joon-young, and Won Ji-an, gathered together to create a romance with 14 colors. Kwak Jae-young, director of “My Sassy Girl” and “Classic”, grabbed the megaphone for this movie. “Happy New Year” will be released simultaneously in theaters and on TVing on December 29th.
