Min Hee-jin: Bang Si-hyuk Copied Me To Create BTS

Aside from accusing ILLIT of copying NewJeans, Min Hee-jin also called BTS a result of plagiarizing her works.

According to insiders from the music industry, HYBE discovered a total of 3 internal documents from ADOR. These documents include a work diary written by Mr. A, a close associate of CEO Min Hee-jin, on the 23rd and 29th of last month.

Among those, the document dated on the 23rd included a section on how to attract external investors, as well as the sentence of “How to get HYBE to sell”. This can be interpreted as a concern to pressure HYBE in some way to sell HYBE’s current 80% stake in ADOR.

On a document dated the 29th, goals such as “ultimate escape” (from HYBE) and “No one can touch us” were written.

“This is a document that outlines a plan to collect various things using this methodology, raise issues, put pressure on (HYBE), and then ultimately get independent”, an official in the music industry hinted.

Meanwhile, the final document found by HYBE during their audit on ADOR contained citations of Min Hee-jin telling other people that “Chairman Bang Si-hyuk copied me to create BTS.”

It seems that after accusing ILLIT of copying NewJeans, Min Hee-jin also called BTS a result of plagiarizing her works.

Some believe that the conflict between Min Hee-jin and HYBE partly results from a difference in opinion regarding the level of compensation in accordance with NewJeans’ success level.

A music industry figure said, “I understand that CEO Min requested a large amount of compensation, more than twice the original amount, at the end of last year, and that HYBE refused because it could not accept it.”
