According to Collider, on the 10th (local time), interest in ‘Star Wars: Acolyte’ has grown since the first teaser was unveiled at last year’s Star Wars Celebration in London. The series will be premiered on Disney+ this summer.
Set 50 years before ‘Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace,’ ‘Acolyte’ unfolds against the backdrop of a constantly changing galaxy, focusing on former Jedi Padawan and her former master as they investigate sinister crimes.
Lee Jung-jae of ‘Squid Game’ joins as a Jedi Master, with Jonas Suotamo as a Wookiee Jedi named Kelnakara. Additionally, Jodie Turner-Smith, Mani Sisinti, and Charlie Barnett are also featured, although details about their roles are kept tightly under wraps.
‘Acolyte’ is produced as an 8-part series. Producer Leslie Headland describes it as “a combination of ‘Frozen’ and ‘Kill Bill’.”
