Jackie Chan Explains Aging & Health Issue Rumor, “Just A Movie Character”

Referring to rumors about his health issues that spread recently, Jackie Chan shared, “My friends saw my recent photos on the Internet, and they were all worried about my health”, adding “Don’t worry. It’s just my character’s image from a recent movie. This character has gray hair, a white beard, and must look older than me”.

He further explained, “I’ve always had the desire to try something new in a movie for years, whether is a new stunt challenge or a breakthrough in my image”, expressing how he was grateful to be able to transform into different characters.

Jackie Chan then posted several pictures of himself in his heyday discovered by the staff. In response, netizens sent a lot of congratulations, such as “Happy birthday, Legend Jackie Chan”.

Celebrating his 69th birthday on April 7th, the actor confessed, “My friends have been reminding me, ‘Jackie, your 70th birthday is coming soon’. Every time I hear the number, my heart stops for a moment”.

He continued, “I’m already 70. But the second thought coming to my mind was what my oldest brother said. He told me, ‘It’s a relief that we are able to get older’. Indeed, we don’t know how lucky we are to be able to get older”. Also, the actor thanked fans for their congratulations, saying “Thank you very much. I hope everyone is always happy and healthy”.

Meanwhile, Jackie Chan shocked everyone when he uploaded a photo of him with gray hair and a white beard on Weibo last month. Many foreign media outlets highlighted it in the news, saying “Many people have realized that action star Jackie Chan is no longer a young man”.

Jackie Chan will meet viewers with the new movie “Karate Kid”. This is the new film from “The Karate Kid” series about a Chinese teenager who pursues strength and wants to find his direction through martial arts and his tough but wise mentor. The movie will premiere in December.
