Lee Seung Gi and Kang Ho Dong reunite in new reality show “Brother Ramyeon”, premiere in May
The first teaser for "Brother Ramyeon", featuring Kang Ho Dong, Lee Seung Gi, and Bae In Hyuk, has been released.
“Brother Ramyeon,” a reality variety show jointly produced by TV Chosun and Discovery Channel Korea, which will air its first episode in May. The show will reveal the transformation of ramyeon (Korean instant noodle) and is expected to create a ramyeon boom nationwide.
In the show, Kang Ho Dong, Lee Seung Gi, and Bae In Hyuk will open a ramyeon restaurant at a famous tourist destination in Japan and offer various variations of K-ramyeon, which well-capture the taste of Korea and captivate the taste buds of Japanese people accustomed to ramyeon.
The combination of the members is especially noteworthy. Kang Ho Dong has shown his skills and experience in various genres from talk shows to reality shows. Meanwhile, Lee Seung Gi has demonstrated his versatility in entertainment programs with his unique wit and humor. Bae In Hyuk is a rising star in the entertainment industry, who has been rapidly gaining attention.
On April 24, the production team of “Brother Ramyeon” released a 30-second first teaser, which piques viewers’ curiosity before the show’s premiere.
In the teaser, various ramyeon dishes cooked with different recipes appear against the backdrop of serene mountains and cherry blossoms in full bloom, along with the caption “K-ramyeon’s variation that will captivate Japan.”
Kang Ho Dong, Lee Seung Gi, and Bae In Hyuk, also known as “three brothers,” are seen scrutinizing the texture of the ramyeon noodles, with meaningful expressions on their faces, followed by scenes of the three doing their best inside the ramyeon restaurant.
Subsequently, the reactions of Japanese people who enjoy the ramyeon with surprise and thumbs up are shown, amplifying the interest in the K-ramyeon menu that will be presented in “Brother Ramyeon.”
The production team expressed their expectations for the show, saying, “Kang Ho Dong, Lee Seung Gi, and Bae In Hyuk introduce K-ramyeon, Korean soul food, to Japan, the home of ramyeon. Please look forward to the struggling efforts, passion, and unprecedented and imaginative variations of K-ramyeon.“
Meanwhile, “Brother Ramyeon” has attracted attention as a fixed variety program in which Kang Ho Dong and Lee Seung Gi reunite for the first time in eight years since KBS2TV’s “2 Days & 1 Night” on KBS 2TV and tvN’s “New Journey to the West”.
