Kim Min Ju shed tears during her last appearance as “Music Core” MC, “I was very happy to be with you for 960 days”
Actress and former IZ*ONE member Kim Min Ju said goodbye to “Show! Music Core”.
On the January 28th broadcast of MBC’s “Show! Music Core”, Kim Min Ju mentioned NCT member Jung Woo, another MC who was absent due to an overseas schedule, saying “He’s doing a concert tour but he sent an avatar here because he wanted to be with us today”.
Kim Min Ju, who would leave the “Music Core” MC position after today’s broadcast, confessed, “Thanks to ‘Music Core, ‘WooJuHo’ were able to gather together”. Stray Kids member Lee Know added, “Unfortunately, this is Kim Min Ju’s last broadcast. It’s such a bummer but I hope you stay by our side until the end”. Kim Min Ju raised the mood by saying “I will make a new start with more energy”.
When Lee Know asked, “Let me ask you a question. What does ‘Music Core’ mean to Kim Min Ju?”, Kim Min Ju said, “Destiny or challenge”. She added, “‘Music Core’ suddenly came to me like fate. Every day was a series of challenges to me, but every moment we had together was like a gift”.
At the end of the broadcast, Lee Know said, “The saddest moment has come. Kim Min Ju, who has been hosting ‘Music Core’ for 960 days, will say her last greeting as an MC today. It’s too bad that we have to say goodbye, so I prepared something”. He then took out a plaque of appreciation.
Kim Min Ju burst into tears as soon as she saw the banner for her with the message, “Min Ju, who has been with us for 960 days, you’ve worked hard”. She said, “Thank you. For the past 960 days, I’ve listened to many good songs, cried, and laughed with you. I was very happy.”
She continued, “I want to thank ‘Music Core’ family for always taking good care of me and loving me. I didn’t know much when I only performed on the stage. After working as an MC, I learned many things from the staff who worked hard backstage”, adding “I will continue to work hard to become Min Ju angel, so please look forward to me”.
Min Ju started hosting “Show! Music Core” in June 2020. She received favorable reviews and compliments from viewers for her smooth hosting skills and bright charms. Together with NCT Jungwoo and Stray Kids Lee Know, the three formed the MC trio “WooJuHo” and showed perfect teamwork.
