Bang Minah Opens Up About Her Obsession with Clubbing During Girl’s Day Era and the ‘Octagon Girl’ Nickname

Bang Minah, formerly a member of Girl’s Day, reminisced about her past 

On October 29th, a video titled “Stories Only Sisters Can Share” was published on Uhm Jung-hwa’s YouTube channel ‘Umaizing’.

Uhm Jung-hwa invited Bang Minah to her home and engaged in various conversations.

When asked about her current lifestyle, Bang Minah revealed, “I’m living the life of a homebody.” Uhm Jung-hwa was surprised by this and asked, “You were an idol, could you go to clubs?” Bang Minah then confessed, “That’s why at the time, comments in entertainment news articles called me ‘Octagon Girl.'”

She continued, “I liked Itaewon and smaller clubs. But what’s strange is that none of my friends around me drank. I didn’t drink either. We would go out and dance without drinking. People around us couldn’t understand. But we had a blast.”

Uhm Jung-hwa was also amazed and asked, “Was that possible?” She added, “People who can’t drink seem to have more fun and know how to have a good time. Since they don’t drink, they just enjoy the genuine vibe.”

Uhm Jung-hwa went on to say, “I’ve also been to karaoke with Yoo Jae-suk and Kim Won-hee in the past. The two of them go wild and dance like crazy. I thought they drank a lot, but they didn’t even have a sip of alcohol. They were just drinking cola and having a blast.”

Bang Minah strongly related to Uhm Jung-hwa’s story and said, “I’m the same way. If I drink, I want to go home, but if I don’t, I can have even more fun than the people who are drinking.” This revelation surprised everyone.
