Former IZ*ONE member Kang Hye-won embraces acting challenges and shares her future plans
On Dec 15th, Kang Hye-won shared various stories in an interview for Coupang Play’s drama ‘Boyhood’.
When asked about her transition from idol to actress, Kang Hye-won expressed gratitude for the opportunities, mentioning that the switch was due to her interest in acting.
Continuing, she shared, “During my time as a singer, I experienced many emotions through the fans. As an actress, allowing people to feel various emotions through me motivates me to work harder, fostering a sense of sincerity.”
When asked if she originally dreamed of being an actress rather than a singer, she replied, “Not really.”
She affirmed that she currently has no plans for singing activities, expressing a sense of nostalgia for the cherished memories of IZ*ONE. She added, “I hope the day comes when I can sing again.“
When asked about IZ*ONE members’ reaction to ‘Boyhood,’ Kang Hye-won said, “They watched the first episode amidst their busy schedules and left comments. I felt touched.”
Discussing her interest in different acting roles, Kang Hye-won expressed a desire to try something comedic, despite not having a naturally funny style.
