Actor Kang Hoon talked about how he dated his girlfriend in the past through the messenger program “Buddy Buddy”.
On the broadcast of MBC’s entertainment program “Radio Star” aired on February 2nd, actors Lee Jun-ho, Lee Se-young, Jang Hye-jin, Oh Dae-hwan, Lee Min-ji, and Kang Hoon appeared as guests for the “Let’s Go to Our Palace” Special.
During the show, Kang Hoon said that he has been very shy ever since he was young. The actor shared, “It happened when I was in elementary school. At that time, if we like someone, we would talk to that person through an app like Buddy Buddy”. Buddy Buddy is a messenger program that was in service from 2000 to 2012.
He added, “I only talked to the friend (that I liked) on Buddy Buddy and pretended not to know her at school. It was because I was too shy”, adding, “Since both were too shy, we pretended to be strangers and passed by each other.”
Then, the actor confessed, “On Valentine’s Day, I asked that friend to go to school about one hour earlier so that we could exchange gifts with each other”, adding, “We came to school, but just stayed still. I couldn’t even give her the present I prepared”
When MC Kim Gu-ra asked, “So who was the first to talk about the breakup?”, Kang Hoon said, “We haven’t said that yet. One day, I happened to know that friend was dating my friend. So I thought this might be a breakup”, drawing laughter.
Kang Hoon, who turned 30 this year, debuted in 2009 with the short film “Gori”. In 2021, he made his name be widely known by playing Hong Deok-ro in MBC’s drama “The Red Sleeve”
