Touching reason why Hyun Bin reconsiders overseas filming schedules: To be with pregnant wife Son Ye Jin

The “Harbin” team will head to Latvia next January.

According to the film industry, the “Harbin” team will board a plane to Latvia on Jan 20th, 2023.

It is a large-scale location filming that lasts about a month and a half. Accordingly, actors Park Jung-min, Jeon Yeo-bin and key staff will depart on this day.

However, the lead actor Hyun Bin is coordinating whether to leave the country on the same day. It is reported that his schedule has not been confirmed because his wife Son Ye-jin is due to give birth in December.

The two, who met as lead actors of the drama “Crash Landing on You” in 2019, got married in March this year with a grand wedding.

Son Ye-jin announced her pregnancy last June, three months after her marriage, saying, “A new life has come to us.” According to the agency, the baby in the womb is a son and Son Ye-jin is due to give birth in December.

In an interview to promote the movie “Confidential Assignment 2: International” in September, Hyun Bin shared his thoughts on becoming a father, “It hasn’t really sunk in yet. However, I’m waiting with happy feelings since it’s such a big blessing.”

As he has to be away from home for a long time a month after becoming a father, his wife Son Ye-jin is expected to engage in “single parenting”.

Set in the early 1900s in Harbin, “Harbin” is a spy-action blockbuster that tells the stories of independence fighters who risk their lives to regain their homeland. Director Woo Min-ho, who successfully described the turbulent society of Korea in modern times on-screen through movies “Inside Men” (2015) and “The Man Standing Next” (2020), is expected to show his special directing skills through “Harbin”.
