“ETA” by NewJeans was played at Beyoncé’s concert, drawing attention.
On August 2, Pop Base posted a video of Beyoncé’s concert. In the video, while audiences were waiting for Beyoncé’s concert, a remix of “ETA” was played. It is among the new popular songs that Beyoncé’s concert production company played during wait time at the Renaissance tour around the world. It has not been confirmed whether Beyoncé handpicked the song list herself.
Meanwhile, NewJeans recently broke into Billboard 200 with their latest EP “GET UP.” The album’s triple titles “Super Shy,” “ETA,” and “Cool With You” ranked 48th, 81st, and 93rd on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively. According to Billboard, NewJeans is the second K-pop girl group to top Billboard 200, after BLACKPINK, in the past 15 years. The album sold 126,500 copies in the U.S.
Billboard 200 is a chart that ranks traditional physical album sales scores by adding the number of streaming times to album sales (SEA) and the number of digital music downloads to album sales (TEA). Billboard Hot 100 aggregates not only physical album sales and digital downloads but also radio airplay scores and streaming activity (YouTube views, for example).
