“Once confessed, it’s over”, Jisoo’s past remark resurfaces after dating news with Ahn Bo Hyun
As Jisoo and Ahn Bo Hyun confirmed to be dating, a past remark of Jisoo about male-female relationship draws attention.
In June 2023, Jisoo of BLACKPINK appeared on the YouTube channel “DingUniv” and shared her thoughts on relationships. At that time, when asked if she thinks it is possible for male and female to only be friends, Jisoo responded, “I don’t think it’s possible”.
However, she later added that such friendships are still possible if the two parties have known each other for over 10 years yet nothing happens.
The female idol further added, “I guess if you are close to someone as genuine friends, you’d text and converse now and then. However, if the two parties are constantly in contact with each other, whether by texting or calling, I think it’s nonsense to call that friendship”.
According to Jisoo, she would instinctively draw a line that doesn’t allow romantic sentiments against male “friends”.

Now, after Jisoo’s dating news with Ahn Bo Hyun, netizens who saw the video again are understanding it in a different light.
In particular, they left comments such as, “They were dating even back then”, “It was strange how she answered seriously about male and female friends”, and “Now I understand.”
Meanwhile, Dispatch reported on August 3rd that Ahn Bo Hyun and Jisoo have been dating since May. In response, the two’s agencies confirmed Jisoo and Ahn Bo Hyun relationship, stating that they “are getting to know each other little by little with good emotions”.
On the other hand, Ahn Bo Hyun, born in 1988, and Jisoo, born in 1995, have a 7-year age gap.
