NewJeans continues making records on global digital charts with the second EP “GET UP.”
In the past week, NewJeans recorded 126,500 equivalent album units in the U.S., according to Luminate. Of the 126,500 album units, 101,500 are pure sales. The album also received 34.39 million on-demand streams. The sales and streams help NewJeans become the second female K-pop group to gain No. 1 on Billboard 200 after BLACKPINK.
On the other hand, three songs from “Get Up” by NewJeans got into the Billboard Hot 100 of the week. “Super Shy” jumped by 16 ranks to No. 48, while “ETA” and “Cool With You” debuted at No. 81 and No. 93, respectively.
“GET UP” is NewJeans’s second mini-album released in July 2023. The EP contains three title tracks namely “Super Shy,” “ETA,” and “Cool With You.” The album has gained widespread attention and broke many records on digital charts.
