Feeling down after saying goodbye to “King the Land”? Don’t know what to watch next? Here are four upcoming romantic dramas for K-drama enthusiasts to look forward to: 

Destined with You

“Destined with You” is a romantic drama starring Jo Bo Ah and SF9 Rowoon. In the drama, Jo Bo Ah plays Lee Hong Jo, a low-ranking civil servant who always tries her best.

Rowoon plays Jang Shin Yu, a talented, handsome, and charming lawyer who is under a curse that causes him to get sick out of the blue. 

Jang Shin Yu and Lee Hong Jo’s fateful encounter begins when Lee Hong Jo becomes the new owner of an old book that contains the antidote that can lift the curse off Jang Shin Yu. 

The drama will air every Wednesday and Thursday on JTBC on August 23. 

The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract

The story follows Park Yeon Woo, a young lady who lives in Joseon unexpectedly time-traveling to the 21st century. In a brand-new world, Park Yeon Woo has a chance encounter with Kang Tae Ha, a man who is the spitting image of her dead husband on their wedding night. 

Bae In Hyuk and Lee Se Young are both capable actors who have proven their acting capabilities through previous roles. 

The drama is scheduled to air in September on MBC every Friday and Saturday. 

A Time Called You 

Ahn Hyo Seop and Jeon Yeo Been are working together on Netflix’s “A Time Called You”. It is a Korean drama remake of the Taiwanese series “Someday or One Day” starring Hsu Kuang Han. 

Han Jun Hee (Jeon Yeo Been) suffers great pain after her lover Ko Yeon Jun (Ahn Hyo Seop) dies unexpectedly. One day, Jun Hee is transported back to the year 1998 as a high-school student called Kwon Min Joo. She stumbles across Nam Si Heon, a male student who looks exactly like Ko Yeon Jun. 

“A Time Called You” premieres on September 8 on Netflix.

Sparkling Watermelon

“Sparkling Watermelon” gathers Ryeoun, Choi Hyun Wook, Shin Eun Soo, and Seol In Ah.

In “Sparkling Watermelon,” Ryeoun plays Eun Gyeol, a boy born into a  family with hearing impairment. However, he possesses a musical talent. One day, Eun Gyeol visits a mysterious musical instrument shop and time slips into another timeline. Here, Eun Gyeol meets Yi Chan (Choi Hyun Wook), Se Kyung (Seol In Ah), and Cheong Ah (Shin Eun Soo). Together, they formed a high-school band. 

Like Eun Gyeol’s parents, Cheong Ah has a hearing impairment that keeps her distant from people around her. Se Kyung boasts a gift for playing Cello and an immaculate beauty. Yi Chan is a guy who has feelings for Se Kyung; he is determined to win over her heart.

“Sparkling Watermelon” airs every Monday and Tuesday on tvN, starting September 25.
